Introduction
The Certificate, Diploma and Advanced Diploma of Ministry are designed to give you solid, practical and life-changing training for successful leadership in a wide range of ministries and occupations. Our focus is on delivering vocational, skills-based training in the midst of a thriving church. This means that you will be learning ministry in a place where ministry is happening all the time and under the instruction of proven, successful leaders. You will also develop the leadership and ministry skills you need to impact your world whilst developing a good grounding in biblical studies and theology.
Courses
1st Year — Certificate IV in Ministry (10021NAT, CRICOS 077594K)
The one year Certificate IV in Ministry builds a basic foundation of bible teaching and principles for life and ministry, combined with practical application and market-place skills across different Streams. The skills students learn are also transferable to marketplace careers in the same field as their Stream’s ministry specialisation.
2nd Year — Diploma in Ministry (10022NAT, CRICOS 077595J)
Upon successful completion of the Certificate IV in Ministry, students can continue on in their second year towards the Diploma of Ministry. The Diploma course trains students with the skills needed to lead a ministry team. It allows for a deeper study into God’s word and its practical application, building on the material covered in the Certificate IV. Graduates will be equipped to lead or bring expertise and influence to a team or small ministry area in a local church or Christian organisation (e.g. youth leader, worship leader, pastoral care).
3rd Year — Advanced Diploma in Ministry (10023NAT, CRICOS 077596G)
Our Advanced Diploma program is specifically designed to help transition students into full-time ministry. The course gives you the opportunity to gain real-life ministry training while furthering academic development. It also equips students with the skills needed to lead and exert influence amongst other ministry leaders. Many of our graduates have gone on to leadership roles, such as Associate Pastor, Youth Pastor and Worship Pastor, where they are using the leadership, management and ministry skills they developed in their third year. Others have gone into key ministry roles, where they are primarily using their highly developed ministry, pastoral and creative gifts to help their churches move forward. Entry into the Advanced Diploma of Ministry requires the successful completion of the Diploma of Ministry. The course combines classes with an internship in Hillsong Church, a local church or recognised ministry.
Bachelor of Contemporary Ministry
This award is designed and delivered by Alphacrucis, on the Hillsong College Campus. They are an Australian Christian provider of Higher Education, CRICOS Provider Code: NSW 00958A.
The Bachelor of Contemporary Ministry (BCM) is designed to prepare students for ministry in the Church of the 21st Century. Areas such as social justice, the global community and today’s youth are explored alongside new ways to worship God. It is a dynamic and inspiring program that allows you to customise the unit areas that are most suitable to prepare you for your unique calling in ministry.
Streams
Pastoral Leadership
The Pastoral Leadership stream is designed to equip students to lead in every sphere of life, focusing predominantly on leading as well as building and ministering within the church setting. The stream includes Biblical Studies, Theology, Leadership and Management Principles.
Worship Music
The Worship Music Stream is designed to develop the heartbeat and creativity of a God-centered worshipper and creative innovator. All classes are structured to equip the student for authentic ministry environments. These include Leadership in Worship Ministry, Song Writing, Practical and Theoretical Musicianship, and Song Analyses.
Dance
Dance is about passion. If you are passionate about dance being used as a tool to reach the world and build the church, then the Dance stream is for you! If you desire to enhance your skills in technique, your gifting in ministry, your choreographic skills, and your leadership skills, then you will love studying dance at Hillsong College.

TV & Media
The TV & Media Stream trains the student with a combination of Leadership, Theology, and Television Production to develop passion, purpose and industry validated skills. Dynamics such as servant leadership, self-discipline, integrity, personal sustainability, innovation and skill development are explored in depth.
Production
Hillsong Production is a team of audio operators and enthusiasts who are committed to learning and contributing to live audio component of a God-centered worship encounter. We focus on practically operating systems and equipment, as well as mixing live audio at Front of House and Monitors in a variety of environments. All classes and creativity are strongly directed toward real-life ministry situations.
